The Sanctuary of Montecastello is one of five places of worship on Lake Garda with the title of ‘Jubilee Churches’.
Excursion starting from the Church of San Pietro, Gardola. Walk to discover the churches of San Pietro and Santa Maria Assunta, the Castello hamlet and medieval portals. Visit to the Sanctuary of Montecastello.
9.00 a.m.: Meeting point at the Church of San Pietro, Gardola. Visit to the small Lombard church of San Pietro dating back to 600 BC and the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta. Walk through the village of Gardola, the Castello hamlet and the medieval portals. Excursion and visit to the Sanctuary of Montecastello. Ascent to Monte Cas, an excellent panoramic point. Return at 2.00 p.m.

Walks do not take place in bad weather. Comfortable clothes, walking shoes and water are recommended.
